Unidentified inscriptions and stamps – we need YOUR help!

Occasionally we at the Jesuit Libraries Provenance Project will post a particular book that is full of provenance information and ownership marks we need your help identifying! This week’s book is The History of Charles V, published in Paris in 1843 and written in the French language. And, as you can see, the title page is absolutely littered with inscriptions and stamps!

(Inscription – Can you make it out?)

(Stamp – Do you know what library or institution this stamp represents?)

If you think you can identify any of the ownership marks shown above, please click here to go directly to The History of Charles V on our Flickr site. Thank you in advance and happy researching!

Sincerely,

The JLPP Team
